although cbs news reported this story, i want to let a few more people know about it in case they missed it.
Sgt. Carmelo Rodriguez of the US Marines was misdiagnosed and had his melanoma hidden from him and it consequently killed him. A former actor and proud military man was once handsome family man wasted away to only 80 pounds before he died. The family is not allowed to sue the government for malpractice because of his military status, and because his illness forced him to retire, the family also had to pay for his funeral.
